How to break a sentence
You can change English into Japanese accurately if you can break a sentence properly.
For example, you want to say "My father goes to the bank this afternoon." in Japanese.
The translation rule is;
- Translate the subject in a sentence first, which is often the first word (I, He, She, etc).
- Put は after the subject.
- Translate backwards from the end of a sentence.
- Put を in front of a verb.
Then, some people start to do like this;
| 1 | 8 | 7 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 |
| My | father | goes | to | the | bank | this | afternoon. |
This is not right.
Don't break a sentence where words should be together as a group.
Here is how to break it correctly.
| 1 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 |
| My father | goes | to | the bank | this afternoon. |
