How to change verb dictionary form into ます (ma su) form

Verb dictionary form is what you find in a dictionary, 行く (go) for example. However, you have to change 行く to 行きます when you need to speak politely.

Here is how to change verb dictionary form into ます form.

Verb Group	How to change	Example
Weak verb	change る into ます	たべる (eat) → たべます
Strong verb	change the last symbol into " i " sound, then add ます	よむ (read) → よみますきく (listen to) → ききます
Irregular verb	There is no rule. Remember them.	する (do) → します来（く）る (come) → 来（き）ます
