  Because she wanted to give them to her mum as a birthday gift.

  They borrow things from human.
• 人間（にんげん）の子供（こども）は危険（きけん）かもしれないからです。
  Because a kid can be savage.
• 砂糖（さとう）とトイレットペーパーです。
  They are sugar and tissue paper.
• ゴキブリです。
  It is a cockroach.

  He used a double-sided sticky tape.

  She found a pin.
• ねずみと戦（たたか）いたくないです。

  Human would notice it right away.
• ティッシュペーパーをとろうとしたときに、アリエッティは見（み）られました。
  She was seen by him when she was going to get tissue paper.

  She dropped suger.
• はい、知（し）っていました。
  Yes, he did.
• いいえ、お母（かあ）さんには言（い）いません。お母さんが心配（しんぱい）するからです。
  No, they won't because it will only worry her.

  She was sitting near it.

  He came to leave sugar.

  Because she lives in a lovely house now.

  They do laundry near the air vent.

  You forgot something.

  She decided to go to see Sho.
